Torn Letter, Torn Love

How could you do this
Send me a letter then rip it up?
I loved everything it said
But you couldn't admit that's what you wrote

You stole it from my room
You had no right to be there
Ripped the pages, ripped the stitches of my heart
I thought you'd be the one to keep them together

Watch these tears fall, they sting like fire
When the flame burns a wound already sore
Every word was imprinted on my skin
You're killing me, why?

So loving, so caring, so close to perfect you were
Did I make a mistake or are you a fool?
Can't tell me how you feel
Does it make you weak?

That letter kept me close to you
That letter made you mine from word one
Are you telling me we're over without saying anything?
'Cause you haven't apologized once

I miss all we were, all we had, all we're never gonna have
That letter, your confession of true love
Take me, make me, break me, murderer
All we are now is pieces of paper scattered across the world
